Top Italian Musicians to Perform at the Mediterranean Stars Festival

 

Organised by Radio Italia II – Italy’s second largest radio station – this highly-awaited concert will bring together Italy’s top music performers for what promises to be a night to remember! The stellar line-up includes Italian superstars Alessandra Amoroso, Gigi D’Alessio, Elisa, Emma, Francesco Gabbani, Gue Pequeno, J-Ax, Mahmood, Max Pezzali, and Raf e Umberto Tozzi!

The Mediterranean Orchestra by Maestro Bruno Santorini

 

The Mediterranean Stars Festival will be supported live by the Mediterranean Orchestra, led by the international conductor Maestro Bruno Santorini. Launched in 2016, the Mediterranean Orchestra has helped to shape and strengthen the musical identity of the Mediterranean. With a repertoire ranging from jazz to pop to classic and sacred music, the orchestra brings together 60 master musicians from different parts of the Mediterranean.

The first edition of the Mediterranean Stars Festival by Radio Italia II will be taking place in Floriana, a fortified town located right outside Malta’s Capital city, Valletta. The concert will take place at the Floriana Granaries, known as ‘Il–Fosos’, a spectacular outdoor venue that is steeped with historical value. In fact, there are 76 granaries located in St Publius Square, which served as storage space to keep food for the Maltese population during the Second World War.

The main concert will be taking place on 4th October, but the fun doesn’t stop here. There will be a weekend of activities surrounding the concert, including the Notte Bianca celebrations on 5th October, the Mediterranean Diwali festival and a Pokemon Go International Gaming Event.
