It’s the year for the European Capital of Culture and events are slowly kicking in. Valletta is at the forefront of it all. The official opening is going to take place in the capital from the 14th to the 21st January. It’s the perfect time to explore and visit the capital. The official week will make its entrance by the Maltese Festa, giving tourists and locals the perfect opportunity to explore Valletta in its traditional elements.
The cultural programme will take place in Valletta and make its way to towns and villages around the Maltese Islands. Valletta will be seen in a new and enhanced light. Cultural events, music, entertainment, and more will take place during the official opening. Events and exhibitions will also happen throughout the week.
Erba’ Pjazez (Four Squares) will be hosting original spectacles, on the 20th January, every hour at different venues including Triton Square, St George’s Square, St John’s Square and Castille Square.
